Customer Cancellations
- Up to 14 days before travel - a 10% administration charge will be made.
- Between 14 days and 7 days before travel - a 50% cancellation charge will be made.
- Within 7 days of departure - a 100% cancellation charge will be made.
Customer Transfers
- Up to 7 days before travel - a 5% admin charge will be made.
- Between 7 days and 48 hours before travel - a 20% charge will be made.
- Within 48 hours of departure time - a 50% charge will be made (or 20% if the seat can be sold).
Steam Availability
Steam Dreams will use its best efforts to provide steam traction for all trips but this cannot be guaranteed. In the last five years we have had to substitute diesel engines on a few occasions, mainly due to exceptionally dry conditions creating a fire hazard. A partial refund of £10 in Standard Class, £15 in First Class and £20 in Premier Dining, or a credit note for double this amount to set against a future trip will be offered if steam traction is not available.
Diesel Assistance
Occasionally, for operational convenience or due to adverse weather, a diesel may be attached to the rear of the train. This can only be used sparingly when rail conditions dictate (this has only happened occasionally in the past). No refunds will be given on these occasions as steam will still be the exclusive traction for 95% of the time on these journeys.
General Conditions
Steam Dreams will use its best efforts to ensure that the proposed locomotives, coaching stock, route and times etc run as advertised, but Steam Dreams reserves the right to amend or cancel any part of the tour at any time. Steam Dreams cannot accept any responsibility for the action of third parties, and are solely responsible to ensure passengers get to the return destination.
Please bring any problem you may experience to the attention of the management during the journey so that we may try to rectify it.

I just wanted to you to know how much pleasure traveling on 11/9 from Waterloo to Bristol gave us. Our party of 4 have traveled with you several times recently and always enjoyed ourselves but this time it was even more special. Oliver Cromwell seemed to perform so effortlessly and the new caterers did an excellent job and the staff, all of them, were so courteous and helpful at all times. Keep up the good work. AD 11-9-08
