Ely Cathedral with its Octagon tower flooding light on to the floor below makes a glorious setting for our Carol Service. Afterwards explore the shops set in the narrow, winding streets in this delightful city. Ely was once home to Oliver Cromwell and you can visit his former home.
Leaving around 1000hrs our train will take an unusual routing from London Waterloo via north and west London before picking up further passengers at Stratford (1045hrs) and Shenfield (1110hrs). We then head via Colchester and Bury St Edmunds to Ely arriving around 1330hrs.
Our return journey is via our outward route departing Ely at approximately 1700hrs and setting down passengers at Shenfield (1940hrs), Stratford (2000hrs) and London Victoria 2045hrs.
